The Americans (2016-2017) is an ongoing project that draws attention to quirky places where life and death mingle within the American landscape. In the United States we confront death everyday. Cemeteries are placed in the middle of towns and cities. Because graveyards surround us, they can seem banal and be overlooked. They’re normalized. They’re next to our workplaces, and sometimes they are at our favorite beach.
